Surmounted by a white enamel dial, the back cover with a coat-of-arms, supported by two seated putti, flanked to each side by a candlestick, above a conch schell centred by Neptune's mask, flanked to each side by a ruby glass inkwell with a foliate lid, centred to the front with a drawer, on scrolling foliate feet; signed Henri Dasson to the back
