Jédat and Némaré were drawn by Pellion on the Blue Mountains expedition in November 1819. The two aborigines are wearing cast-off European clothes and Jedat wears a prized necklace of Kangaroo teeth. The colour notes on the original drawing are followed on the handcoloured plate.
