Northeastern India, Pala Period, circa 11th Century
Finely carved as a four-faced architectural structure tapering towards the tip, the central section with figure of the four directional Buddhas inset in niches over the stepped plinth and four smaller images of Buddha carved below; inscribed with dedicatory verses and the Buddhist creed
