Two Men

Since the late 1980's, when Bhupen Khakhar acknowledged his homosexuality in public, his works have contained images of love and tenderness in which he and his partner figure quite prominently. Two Men is an effort to celebrate life as a gay man and his work often becomes confessional. He has always identified with the values and tastes of the lower middle class and here, once again, he is speaking for a world hitherto disregarded and hushed in India.
