SAYERS, Dorothy L. The Five Red Herrings. London: Victor Gollancz, 1931.
8o. Endpapers decorated with map of Galloway. (Some very light spotting to edges, first and last few leaves.) Original black cloth (leaned, spine a little faded). Provenance: FREEMAN WILLS CROFTS, 1879-1957 (presentation and ownership inscriptions).
FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed and signed by the author on the half-title: "Freeman Wills Crofts from Dorothy L. Sayers March 1931". (The inscription has been cut out and re-attached on the verso, but is original to this copy.)
