In the style of the Vatican Nile and the Louvre Tiber
The ivory -- 7 3/8in. (18.8cm.) high, 8¼in. (21cm.) long, overall height -- 7½in. (19cm.), and length, 9¾in. (24.8cm.)
Exhibited
Charles van der Heyden, Rotterdam, as Reclining river god, attributed to Jean Baptiste Xaverij, born Antwerp 1637, died the Hague 1742.
