**TWO SMALL GE-TYPE SCHOLAR'S ARTICLES
18th/19th century
One a shallow rectangular incense stand with notched corners, the central taper holder surrounded by two realistically molded and glazed peanuts and a melon seed reserved against a pale blue-grey glaze suffused with blackish crackle; the other a square brushwasher with slightly flared sides and rounded interior, covered allover with a thick blue-grey glaze suffused with brown crackle, raised on four polished spurs showing the grey ware
3 5/16in. (8.4cm.) long, box and stand; 1½in. (3.9cm.) square, fitted wood box and ivory stand (2)
