A SMALL FAMILLE ROSE-DECORATED BLUE AND WHITE BRUSHREST
Qianlong four-character seal mark in iron-red and late in the period (1736-1795)
Of rectangular form with openwork angular scroll aprons, one half of the stepped top decorated with a scene of a young boy unrolling a scroll in front of a seated scholar leaning on a rock, the other half painted with peony scroll below three fluted brush holders painted with foliate sprays and repeated as the scalloped rim at the other end, with gilt highlights, the underside covered in turquoise enamel surrounding the seal mark
