19th Century
carved with its head turned and raised looking upwards, the tail feathers finely incised, incised Ryogyoku signature to the underside -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) long; and an ivory netsuke of a cartwright planing a wheel in front of him -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide, (old wear).
