Early 19th century
modelled as a recumbent Buddhistic lion, the head raised and turned to its right, the body painted in iron red, wearing a back cloth painted and gilt with scrolling lotus, metal floriform cover replacing joss stick holder -- 7in. (17.8cms) long.
