A collection of four cheques signed by Shackleton as commander of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition and co-signed by Frank W.White (Sceretary of the expedition), dated 1 July, 9, 10 and 11 July 1914, all drawn on Lloyds Bank Limited, St. James's Street, London.

Comprising:
1. A cheque for £23/18/4d. made out to 'Capt. F.A. Worsley', dated 1 July 1914, and countersigned by Worsley on the verso.
2. A cheque for £100 made out to 'The British Anzani Engine Co. Ltd.', dated 9 July 1914, countersigned by H. Bayley (secretary of the company) on the verso.
3. A cheque for £21/4/- made out to cash, dated 10 July 1914.
4. A cheque for /2d. made out to 'A.E.Mackintosh Esq.', dated 11 July 1914, countersigned by Mackintosh on the verso. (4)
