Sir Philip Lee Brocklehurst's pair of binoculars, by Negretti & Zambra, London ('The Folding Minim. Magn 5.5), in their original leather and mauve cloth-lined case, stamped initials 'P.L.B.', indistinctly inscribed in ink by Brocklehurst 'Captain Phi ...Brockle.../...SWYTHAMLEY MACCLESFIELD ENGLAND' on the back of the case.
