拍品專文

The well known and often painted house at Mangueiras where the Prussian Prince Adalbert stayed in the early 1840s. The inscription suggests the pictures date to the Prince's visit. Adalbert commissioned Hildebrandt to commemorate his Brazilian visit in 1844 (see lots 105 and 106).
