Lot Essay

In spring, 1977, Bob Marley And The Wailers stayed in London for three months while recording the Exodus album before their European tour of that year. At that time, the vendor was working as a hospital porter at the Royal Free Hospital, London and obtained this signature when Bob Marley came in with an injury to his toe sustained whilst playing football. The injury apparently never healed properly, and has been attributed to being a cause of the cancer from which Marley tragically died in May, 1981.
