A collection of typescript letters concerning The Rolling Stones, various dates, 1963-1965, the majority addressed to Eric Easton Ltd. various subjects include: a letter of complaint on The Jazz Cellar Club...Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey headed stationery, 14th September, 1963 discussing a breach of contract ...Apart from their behaviour which left much to be desired...they completed an engagement at a venue less than five miles from my premises on the night prior to their booking at the Cellar Club..1p.; another on Michael Clark-Hall & Associated Ltd headed stationery, 16th September, 1964 stating that Burton Tailoring would like to make a suit for Mick Jagger and as part of their publicity campaign would also like to nominate him ..as Britain's Worst Dressed Man" using a picture of Jagger .."before and after" 1p.; another on Melody Maker 161/166 Fleet Street London EC4 headed stationery, 25th June, 1964 discussing the possibility of Jagger joining a panel of judges to nominate the national winner of the National Beat Contest, stating ..we want a sprucely dressed, clean living young man so we naturally thought of Mick Jagger... 1p.; another on The Cavern .2 Mathew Street, Liverpool 2 headed stationery, 23rd September, 1964, enclosing a payment [not present] for the appearance of The Stones at The Tower Ballroom, New Brighton on August 10th, 1964, 1p.; another on Boys World 96-98 Long Acre London WC2.. headed stationery, 13th August 1964 from features editor Max Clifford stating that photographs taken of the Stones at Wimbledon Palais would be used for publication in Boys' World and Wham' magazines..., signed, 1p.; a quantity of correspondence from the Musician's Union and Leslie Grade, various dates, September-October 1964, discussing the discontinuation of negotiations for The Rolling Stones to perform in South Africa whilst Apartheid is practised there; and another on Woman's Own... headed stationery, September 24th, 1964 enclosing a copy of a recipe for Banana Grape Cream that was suggested as one of The Stones' favourite dishes and a copy of a corresponding quote intended to be used as an introduction to it ...We're all steak and potato boys, but afterwards we like a really swinging sweet... 3pp.(a lot)
