The case with stepped and moulded pediment above glazed and brass-lined silvered register plates, with Vernier scale and signed Cary London, the slightly bowed trunk lacking adjustment knob, with engraved thermometer scale also signed Cary London, later mercury tube, with tubular brass cistern; lacking gimbal and wall mount
