Born Catherine O'Leary Lupo in 1920, she was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon her graduation from high school, Catherine pursued a successful career in modeling.
While raising her two children in Milwaukee, she was a popular fashion model and fashion show commentator. Catherine moved with her family to Beverly Hills in the 1960's where she became an avid patron of the arts.
