The inscription cartouche within the field is a copy of that on the original Ardebil carpet. The border inscription at the other end reads "Fabrik Ma'mar number 110, 1309"

North West Persia, dated AH 1309/1891-2 AD
Of Ardebil design, the shaded rust-red field with spiralling palmette and flowering vine around a cusped ivory medallion with interlaced arabesques and cloudband ringed by multiple pendants, a pendant mosque lamp above and below, the spandrels similar, in a shaded brown border of flowering vine around rust-red floral and cloudband cartouches alternating with pale roundels between ivory palmette and floral meander and tan interlaced arabesque stripes, signature cartouche at one end, localised wear, one hole, a broad strip of glue on reverse along two sides, small old repairs in one border, structure slightly dry
