Until the late 1980's, this Domaine was the Sleeping Beauty of Vosne-Romanée. An owner in Richebourg and some of the greatest sectors of Clos Vougeot, with holdings in two extraordinary Vosne-Romanée First Growths - Cros Parantoux and Les Brûlées - the wines were nevertheless mainly sold in barrel to local négociants. With the arrival of Jean-Nicolas Méo as wine-maker ten years ago, the Domaine's orientation changed. Legendary Henri Jayer was retained as consultant wine-maker during the transition, and superbly complex wines started to be fashioned. We are greatly priveleged to offer these bottles and large formats from the Domaine's private reserves, which have lain undisturbed since bottling. AH
