Levels: one very top, one top, two upper/top & two upper shoulder, bin-soiled labels
Although not tasted for over a year, it sticks in my mind like it was yesterday. The 1959 Latour is without question one of the greatest
wines that this Château has ever produced. A strong clean mature
color; soft clean and frangrant nose with light plummy fruits. Big &
strong on the palate, classic Latour weight, lovely rich penetrating
old currant fruit, dry and very, very, very long. A staggering
effort, truly profound and with years of drinking pleasure still. DW
