Lot Essay

Trade cards for the Royal supplier, Hawley's of Coventry Street, advertised the firm as a "Fashionable Repository for jewellery, watches, plate & plated goods. John Hawley and John & Charles Hawley were recorded as conducting business on Coventry Street from 1805-08 and 1820, respectively.
