FIRST EDITION OF WILDER'S PULITZER PRIZE WINNING PLAY. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY WILDER TO GEORGE HELLEY on the title: "George Helley: Best wishes and regards, Thornton Wilder New Haven Christmas 1942." Helley was a Yale graduate, New Haven resident and lifelong collector of Wilder who was preparing to write a descriptive bibliography. His project was never realized. Helley gave most of his Wilder collection to Yale; the remainder was sold by Stonehill Rare Books of New Haven.
