Blue interlaced Ls enclosing date letters LL for 1788, painter's mark for Nöel, the cup incised 43, the saucer incised 48
Painted with wreaths of pink roses alternating with covered urns enclosed within pink and blue foliate scrolls and branches of berried laurel to for a rinceau, the blue border gilt with opposing S-scrolls centering arrows alternately pointed in opposite directions
2¾in. (7cm.) high, the cup; 5 3/8in. (13.6cm.) diam., the saucer (2)
