CIRCA 1805, MOST PROBABLY DAGOTY OR CARON & LEFEBVRE

The present ice pails are from a service for iced punch designed in the Egyptian revival style popularized by the Napoleonic campaignes. A very similar pair of ice pails, marginally shorter but broader than the present examples and with a variant internal construction, was sold as lot 380A in The Arts of France; Christie's New York, 26 October 2001.
