The padded serpentine back, outscrolled arms, and serpentine seat upholstered in needlework, the back depicting an emperor on a horse-drawn chariot with attendants within scrolling foliage on a brown ground, on square tapering chanelled legs joined by and H-form stretcher, the loose cushion seat upholstered blue and red striped silk to match the later slip cover, seat now sprung, with a replaced front seatrail
