Manuscript on dark cream polished paper, 305ff. each with 12ll. of black naskh within gold and coloured rules, illuminated marginal roundels marking every fifth and tenth verse, illuminated sura headings, juz marked in gold letters in the margins, finely illuminated bifolia at beginning and end of Qur'an, first page of sura al-baqara with illuminated heading and text within gold clouds, mid-point of Qur'an with illuminated margins and text within gold clouds, inscribed waqf of Husayn Pasha son of the vizier Muhammad Pasha, old damages and repairs, final illuminated folio a later replacement, original gold lacquer binding with flap of lattice design, fine decoupé doublures
