A study of horses, Urdu manuscript on fine cream paper, 167ff. with 17ll. of black nasta'liq in two columns, with fifty three full page miniatures of horses mostly in gouache, some pen and ink, final folio with colophon dated Jumada I 1268, some worm damage, old repairs, in brown morocco binding

This interesting manuscript is a prototype prepared for printing a lithograph. The author's name is given in a roundel at the beginning and it states that he commissioned this copy for his uncle Malik Hidayat Hossein and it was prepared for printing by Jafar 'Ali in Sultan-kadeh in Jumada I 1278.
