Ottoman Turkey, circa 16th century
Manuscript on buff paper margined with cream paper, 248ff. with 17ll. of black naskh, gold rosettes between verses, sura headings in white on gold panels, every fifth and tenth verse marked in gold in the margin, opening illuminated bifolio, final folio with false colophon and erroneous date and attribution to Yaqut, good condition, later brown morocco binding with floral tooled medallion and spandrels
