Lot Essay

This extremely fine decoupé work is by Naqshi. Another example of his work dated 1133/1720-21 is in the collection of Nasser D. Khalili. (Safwat, N.F.: The Art of the Pen, London, 1996, no. 137, pp. 196-7)
