FROM THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE MAURICE POMMÉ (lots 361-378) Maurice Pommé was a "courtier maritime" and ship broker in Fos sur-Mer, Provence. In addition to leading his shipping agency, he was the Honourary Consul for Norway in this region of France. Most of his collection was formed in the years 1950-1965.

Of shallow rounded form with vertical rim on short foot, the white interior painted in bright colours with the figure of a stylised peacock holding a stylised leaf in its beak, stylised floral sprays above and below, a simple blue line around the rim, rim chips, foot drilled
