A pair of English porcelain green-ground two-handled vases
Circa 1815, iron-red pattern 3/233, probably Ridgway's
Of slightly tapering cylindrical form, each painted with specimen flowers within oval gilt band cartouches against a matt-green-ground, the reverses gilt with anthemion palmettes and scrolling foliage, the sides with scrolling anthemion handles issuing from the lower parts, the waisted feet and upper rims with concentric gilt bands (minute areas of wear to gilding, very small chip to one handle)
