A pair of Minton blue-ground two-handled vases
Circa 1830, gilt cross and circle mark to one, gilt cross mark to other
Of campana form, the gilt loop handles with mask terminals, each painted with flowers on marble plinths within rectangular gilt cartouches with canted corners against the ground, the reverses gilt with foliage scrolls and palmettes, below elaborate foliage moulded upper rims, the lower parts moulded with up-turned leaves with gilt veins, the waisted blue-ground feet with garlands of gilt foliage, the gilt square plinth bases moulded with foliage at the corners and on four gilt paw feet (some minute wear to gilding, two small pieces restuck at rim of one vase)
