Mark of Hendrik Smits, Amsterdam, 1803, also struck with retailer's mark of DIEMONT
The octagonal stand on four high fluted paw feet, the gallery and two holders pierced into vertical lines and beaded rims, a blue cut-glass inkpot with silver cover and a blue cut-glass sand box, marked on base
