A long jamawar shawl, woven with brightly coloured palmettes outlined by a black snaking vine and flanked by pairs of scrolling, palm-tipped boteh, the motifs reserved throughout with small flowers, the square field of emerald green wool invaded by leafy fronds, with embroidered harlequin borders and small embroidered inscription, Kashmir, 19th century (small holes)--136in. x 56in.
