by D.W.Clark, cast in brass with foliate fixed and moving arms, rectangular base with egg-and-dart border, numbered 654, the hook and cloth feed operated by an adjustable steel arm pivoting in two planes, controlled by a cam and two pins on the crankshaft -- 6in. (15cm.) wide, circa 1859
