Provenance
This house and the previous seven lots of furniture were originally the property of Mr and Mrs Edward Francis Spencer Preddy of Bristol, it was purchased for their future children. However, CPL Preddy fell during The Great War on the 8th December 1917, aged 25. Captain Freddie Pocock ran into enemy fire to retrieve him but could not save his life.
Mrs Preddy, widowed and childless, gave the dolls house to Freddie Pocock in thanks for his gallantry.
The house became in turn the property of his daughter Ann and her daughter, Charity. It was then lent to the Pelham family and the Stome family, before returning to Charity for the use of her daughter, Trinity.
