A FRENCH SILVER CENTERPIECE WITH MIRROR PLATEAU
Mark of Cardeilhac, Paris, circa 1890
The mirror plateau shaped oval, on four scroll feet, with wood backing, the foliate scroll border with berries at intervals, with two conforming bracket handles, the centerpiece on matching pierced scroll and berry foot, with everted rocaille rim, fitted with a silver plated liner with ring finial, marked on frame of mirror plateau and base of bowl, also stamped CARDEILHAC PARIS, the silver plated liner stamped with same retailer's mark
The mirror plateau 32in. (81.3cm.) long over handles, the centerpiece bowl 21¼in. (54cm.) long; 168oz. (5227gr.) weighable silver (2)
