A GEORGE IV SILVER SOUP TUREEN AND COVER
Mark of Robert Garrard II, London, 1829
Shaped oval on four scroll feet headed by acanthus, with reeded bracket handles and gadrooned rim, the domed cover with similar gadrooning and surmounted by an oak leaf calyx and handle, each side of body engraved with an Earl's armorials, the cover engraved with an Earl's coronet and crest, marked under body and cover, and on calyx, also stamped GARRARDS PANTON STREET LONDON

The arms are those of Anthony Adrian, 7th Earl of Kintore (1794-1844)
