MARK OF GEORGE GARTHORNE, LONDON, 1696

The arms are those of Bennet impaling Bennet quartering another for William Bennet Esq. (d. 1707) and his wife Patienta, sister and heir of Col. Thomas Bennet, of Pythouse, whom he married in 1686.
