ADMIRAL DUCKWORTH, AN AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT REGARDING CURACAO,
written onboard Hercules, April 15th, 1804 to Capt. H.W. Bayntun, thanking him for buckles and shoes and then discussing several issues including the continued French occupation of Sainte Dominique and the despot Dessalines, signed 'J.T. Duckworth'; together with a letter from Capt. J.N. Morris of Colossus to the Commissioners of the Navy Board requesting water-closets at the next re-fit, signed and dated 16th Feb 1805, each contained in an archive file with copious notes and researches. Lot Essay

It is interesting to note that Duckworth's letter to Bayntun was re-directed to him at Gibraltar as he was serving with Nelson in the Mediterranean, consequently he would have still had this letter with him during the chase to the West Indies and at the Battle of Trafalgar.
