A WELL-PRESENTED 18":1' STATIC DISPLAY SCALE MODEL OF H.M.S. BOUNTY AS ARRANGED IN 1787
modelled by J. Ryan in box and fruitwoods with bound masts, yards with footropes, standing and running rigging, carved figurehead, head rails, catheads, anchors with wooden stocks, belaying rails, cut-away main deck with hatch covers, ship's boat, capstan, gratings, four cannon in carriages, ten swivel guns, rigged helm and other details. The planked hull open on the port side revealing internal arrangement and fittings, with chainplates and deadeyes, main wale and rudder is finished in varnish with Venetian red bulwarks and mounted on two carved wooden supports on maple display base with legend and brass bound glazed cover -- 11½ x 12¾in.
