The serpentine-fronted brèche violette marble top above a conforming case set with a bowed glazed panelled door opening to a celadon brocade-lined interior fitted with two glass shelves and a storage compartment below, the sides with smaller glazed panels, one foliate-cast angle mount bearing the inscription F. Linke, the apron centred by a stylised 'crab' mount, on scrolled sabots, the lock engraved DUVIVIER/PARIS/77 FG ST ANTOINE
