The serpentine shaped shelf with stepped moulded edge, above a central scrolled cartouche carved with a vine-garlanded female head, flanked on each side by moulded triangular shaped panels, the jambs each with rectangular panelled top, above a figure of a young lady carrying flowers and standing in an arbour, above a rounded stepped block foot, with rectangular hearth surround and gold-painted cast-iron grate, the back stamped T. BENT & SONS 11
