A pair of chenets of the present model were supplied in 1777 by Quentin-Claude Pitoin for Fontanieu. A second pair were supplied in 1779 for the Cabinet de la Reine at Versailles, and a third pair in 1780 for the bedroom of the duc d'Angoulême.
