Date cyphers for 1880-1882, printed puce crowned globe and impressed uppercase marks, most with impressed registry diamonds and various cyphers, pattern no. G3970, the decoration attributed to Désiré Leroy
Each asymmetrically painted in white with wildflowers and insects in flight, the gilt enriched border pierced with key-pattern and paterae

Lot Essay

Désiré Leroy was employed at the Mintons factory c. 1874-1890. He specialized in painting birds and insects in flight above specimen flowers in white on turquoise, blue and pink grounds. Also see note to lot 171.
