A RARE URARTIAN BRONZE VOTIVE PLAQUE WITH ARCHER
8TH-7TH CENTURY B.C.
Of sheet bronze, with figure of a male archer in chased relief, taking aim with bow and arrow, a quiver on his back, a small round shield and sword hilt just visible on his left side, wearing helmet and belt over long detailed tunic, raised bosses with encircling punched dots at either side of the figure, pierced for attachment, minor restoration at one edge, mounted on large display panel
