Lot Essay

Sold with the certificates of Rembert Wurlitzer, Inc., New York, dated 13th September 1967, and William Moennig & Son, Inc., Philadelphia, dated 17th August 1970. Both certificates state that the head of the violin is the work of Giuseppe Guarneri "del Gesù".
