A RARE LARGE FORMAT FROM THE CELLARS OF LUCE DELLA VITA
This 18-litre bottle of Luce 2000 is the first of the vintage to be released from the cellars of this Frescobaldi/Mondavi joint venture. The wine was bottled in July 2002, following a period of 12 months in new oak barriques and a further 6 months in Slovenian oak casks. Other examples will not be released for a further 12 months. Bottles of this size are generally only available as a special order from the Winery and limited to the best vintages when the quality is considered high enough to warrant bottling in large format.
The wine was first produced in 1993 and is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot varieties.

Tasting note: Deep purple red, strong aromas of blackberries, cinnamon and cloves. Broad and rich with integrated tannins. Vibrant and impressive. D.E.
