An Indian ivory inlaid box with inset miniatures
19th Century
of rectangular shape, decorated in inlaid geometric patterns, the hinged cover inset with a central oval painted ivory plaque of the Taj Mahal surrounded by four smaller miniatures of The Golden Palace and various other temples and palaces, the sides with twelve further similar small oval plaques -- 12¾in. (32.4cm.) wide, (minor damages).
