Manuscript on paper, 11ll. black naskh between gold rules, gold and coloured margins and outer margin, lines of red and black nasta'liq in margin, divisions of text marked with illuminated half-medallions and in red, sura headings in dark blue in gold panels, two illuminated bifolios at start, following page with illuminated heading panel, original lacquer binding and flap with central floral panel and borders, doublures painted with floral cypress trees - 32.5 x 19cm.

拍品專文

The inscription roundels on the opening bifolio mention the dignitary 'Izzat al-daula al-Qahiri. They also say that the tafsir is after that of Abu Bakr and it was translated into Persian by Husain I'zz Kashifi in AH 897.
